Nature Lover | People Person | Greets with a Smile

Prathima Seethur was born in Chikmagalur, a largely forested hilly region in the South west of Karnataka. She Graduated from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bangalore University in 1999, and admired the works of Ar. She continues to be connected with Jaisim Fountainhead Projects Private Limited (JFPPL) for over a decade, as an Associate Architect.

Prathima lives in an eco-friendly home, aptly named “Prakriti” in Bengaluru with her husband and two sons.

In my world, design isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s a celebration of lifestyle, it’s about enhancing how we live. As F. L. Wright rightly said, “A building is not just a place to be but a way to be.”

I chose architecture because it didn’t have Chemistry, but then I started liking architecture because of the chemistry I developed with it. Beyond architecture, a hidden affair bloomed – my love for boxing.

Watching our home being built as a teenager in Chikmagalur inspired me to pursue Architecture. I ended up ranking 10th in my University, VTU by practising architecture inspired by the mighty Western Ghats of Chikmagalur.

Growing up, I loved watching home-makeover on TV where houses transformed into homes. Hence, I chose architecture, similarly I am hoping to design an eco-friendly home that can be featured on TV!

Creative | Calm | Curious

On my way to school, I would often pause to admire the beautiful homes around me, curious about how such ideas first took shape in someone's mind. That quiet fascination is what led me to architecture.

I carry a calm, joyful rhythm within me, finding peace in creating and smiling through the process

Buildings have always inspired me since childhood - their forms, stories and the emotions they hold. I love exploring how spaces shape the way we live and feel. I see design as a way to connect creativity with purpose, turning ideas into experiences that inspire others just as building have always inspired me
